Global Future has appointed its first Managing Director. Peter Starkings has worked in a range of positions across politics, policy, campaigning and government. He is a former head of strategic communications at the National Infrastructure Commission and has acted as an adviser to four former cabinet ministers.

Announcing the appointment, Global Future Founder and CEO, Gurnek Bains, said,

“2018 is set to be a pivotal year for Global Future. Britain stands at a crossroads and it is absolutely vital that those on our side of the debate find our voice. The dynamism of our economy and creativity of our culture depend on our country remaining open to people, trade and ideas from across the world. Peter Starkings brings exceptional experience of strategy development, communications and team leadership, as well as a genuine and deep passion for Global Future’s goals, to the MD role.”

New Managing Director, Peter Starkings said,

“It has never been more important to make the case that Britain can only succeed as a vibrant and open nation reaching out to the world. That is precisely what we will do by providing the analysis, insight and ideas to help Britain thrive. Global Future is an urgent new voice and taking on this role is an enormous responsibility, and a great privilege – I can think of nowhere I’d rather be.”
